Glossary
This is just a list of terms and abbreviations that could be useful while reading my blog:
BYU-Brigham Young University
CAEDM-The computer lab on the top floor of the engineering building at BYU.
Civil Engineering-This one’s easier to break down by subspecialty: Structural, designing buildings, bridges and such so that they don’t fall down and kill people. Transportation, designing systems and materials that are used to move people and things from Point A to Point B. Geotechnical, making sure that your structure/road doesn’t sink into the ground and collapse. Water Resources, moving dirty water away from the people and moving clean water to the people…and making sure things don’t flood. Environmental, allowing ecoterrorists to commit sins in the name of their idol-god, the environment.

ODE-Ordinary Differential Equations
Structural Engineering-(see civil engineering above)
Surveying (Land Surveying)-The practice of laying out current and potential land conditions, including: distances, elevations, angles, etc. Often used in civil engineering.
